Questions

Good to know.

Does it send my numbers to HMRC?

No. It gets your totals ready in HMRC’s 13 property categories. You copy them into MTD-compatible software, which sends them. It is not HMRC-recognised software and not tax advice.

When is the next update due?

7 November 2026, for 6 April to 5 October (standard periods), per gov.uk. The sheet lists all four deadlines for the year.

Excel or Google Sheets?

Both. Excel 2016 or newer, Excel on the web, or Google Sheets. Made-up example data is included so you can see it filled in.
